How Age Is Calculated — The Formula

2. Months = Target Month − Birth Month (adjusted by adding 12 and subtracting 1 year if the result is negative)
3. Days = Target Day − Birth Day (adjusted by adding the number of days in the previous month if the result is negative)

For example, if you were born on June 15, 1995 and today is July 14, 2026, your age would be calculated as:

• Years: 2026 − 1995 = 31, but July 14 is before June 15 in terms of the month-day comparison… Actually, July comes after June, so the birthday has passed. Result: 31 years
• Months: 7 (July) − 6 (June) = 1, but the day (14) is before (15), so we subtract 1. Result: 0 months
• Days: 14 − 15 = −1, so we add the days in June (30): 30 − 1 = 29 days
• Final age: 31 years, 0 months, 29 days
