Enter any YouTube Video URL, Channel Handle (@name), or Custom URL to find the exact Channel ID.
Why Do You Need a YouTube Channel ID?
In recent years, YouTube transitioned from standard URLs to custom handles (e.g., @MrBeast). While these handles are great for human readability and branding, they are completely useless for developers and third-party software. If you want to integrate a YouTube feed into your website, use the YouTube Data API v3, or connect analytics software like SocialBlade, you absolutely must have the unique, 24-character alphanumeric Channel ID.
Channel ID vs. User ID vs. Handle
It is easy to get confused by YouTube’s various identifiers. Here is the difference:
- Handle (Custom URL): The user-friendly name, such as
@Toolfix. This can be changed by the creator. - User ID: An older legacy format that was used before Google+ integration.
- Channel ID: The permanent, unchangeable database identifier assigned by Google when the channel is created. It always starts with the letters
UC. Even if a creator completely rebrands their channel, this ID remains exactly the same forever.
How to Find It Manually (The Hard Way)
If you don’t want to use our instant tool, you can find a Channel ID manually by visiting the channel’s page on a desktop browser. Right-click anywhere on the page and select “View Page Source”. Press CTRL + F and search for externalId or canonical. Buried within the code, you will find the 24-character string starting with UC. Alternatively, you can save yourself the headache and simply paste the channel URL into our free finder above!
