How to remove pages from a PDF
- Choose or drop your PDF. A small preview of every page appears.
- Click the pages you want to delete. They turn red with a ×. Click again to keep a page.
- Or type the page numbers in the box, for example
1, 4-6, end. The previews update as you type. - Click Remove pages & download. You get a new PDF without those pages; your original file is not changed.
Common uses
- Removing blank pages that a scanner added.
- Deleting a cover page, advertising pages or an appendix before you share a document.
- Taking out pages with personal details (for example a page with your bank details) before you send a contract or statement.
Good to know
- The remaining pages are copied without any change in quality. Text stays selectable.
- Removing a page really removes it from the file. It does not just hide it. But if the same information also appears on another page, it is still there, so check the result before sharing.
- Bookmarks and links that pointed to a removed page will no longer work.
- Previews are shown for the first 200 pages. For longer documents, use the page box for later pages.
Privacy
Previews are drawn with Mozilla’s PDF.js and the new file is made with pdf-lib, both running in your browser. The PDF is never uploaded.
